Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

First District:

  • On Friday, October 25, 2019, 24 year-old Kevin Turner Jr., of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Friday, October 25, 2019, in the 600 block of F Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-190-891.
    • At approximately 3:20 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took their property. The suspect then fled the scene.
  • On Monday, October 28, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Fear) offense that occurred on Monday, October 28, 2019, in the unit block of H Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-193-337.
    • At approximately 7:21 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects demanded and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

Third District:

  • On Friday, October 25, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Friday, October 25, 2019, in the 3100 block of 14th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-191-207.
    • At approximately 1:43 pm, the suspects approached the victim from behind at the listed location. One of the suspects snatched the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
  • On Saturday, October 26, 2019, 20 year-old Tyrese Washington, of Bowie, MD, and 32 year-old Rashard Garcia, of no fixed address, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Friday, October 25, 2019, in the 1400 block of North Capitol Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-191-485
    • At approximately 11:26 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects assaulted the victim and took their property. The suspects then fled the scene.
  • On Thursday, October 31, 2019, 27 year-old Davante Ellebee, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Thursday, October 31, 2019, in the 2500 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-195-379
    • At approximately 7:58 pm, the suspect approached the victim from behind at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property and fled the scene.

 

Fourth District

  • On Thursday, October 24, 2019, 29 year-old Quintin Harris, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, October 20, 2019, in the 3500 block of Center Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-187-943.
    • At approximately 7:27 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished firearms and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

Fifth District:

  • On Thursday, October 25, 2019, 24 year-old Taquan Turner, of Mt. Rainier, MD, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, in the 300 block of U Street, Northeast. CCN: 16-064-462.
    • At approximately 11:42 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished firearms and shot the victim. The suspects took the victim’s property and fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. This case remains under investigation.

 

Seventh District:

 

  • On Monday, October 28, 2019, 19 year-old Robert Barnes, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, October 27, 2019, in the 200 block of Atlantic Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-192-649.
    • At approximately 7:52 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
  • On Monday, October 28, 2019, 38 year-old Naquan Tolson, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Carjacking (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, October 28, 2019, in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 19-193-380.
    • At approximately 9:25 pm, the suspect approached the victim in their vehicle at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
  • On Tuesday, October 29, 2019, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Monday, October 14, 2019, in the 1100 block of Chicago Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-184-076.
    • At approximately 7:00 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect demanded and snatched the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.
  • On Thursday, October 31, 2019, 19 year-old Dimivan Jackson, and a 15 year-old juvenile male, both of Southeast, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Thursday, October 31, 2019, in the 3200 block of 22nd Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-195-420.
    • At approximately 8:40 pm, the suspects approached the victims at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victims and took their property. The suspects then fled the scene. Two of the suspects were apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
  • On Friday, November 1, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 30 year-old Morris Lomax, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, March 15, 2019, in the 500 block of Newcomb Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-043-754.
    • At approximately 8:53 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
