Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

First District:

 

  • On Tuesday, October 15, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Capitol Heights, MD, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Sunday, October 13, 2019, in the 600 block of H Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-183-311.
    • At approximately 2:11 pm, the suspect snatched the victim’s property from their hand at the listed location. The suspect then fled the scene.

 

  • On Thursday, October 17, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, in the 1700 block of East Capitol Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-184-396.
    • At approximately 9:00 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

 

Second District:

 

  • On Tuesday, October 15, 2019, 27 year-old Angelo Michael Nicholas, of no fixed address, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, October 14, 2019, in the 1300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-183-722.
    • At approximately 7:40 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect assaulted the victim and then fled the scene with the victim’s property.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.  

 

  • On Friday, October 18, 2019, 22 year-old Juan Blanco, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, in the 3300 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-184-508.
    • At approximately 2:19 pm, the suspect approached the victim in an establishment at the listed location. The suspect forcibly took the victim’s property then fled the scene.

 

Fourth District:

 

  • On Saturday, October 12, 2019, a 17-year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Saturday, October 12, 2019, in the 200 block of Emerson Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-182-556
    • At approximately 1:15 pm, the victim met with the suspects at the listed location.  The victim agreed to purchase property from the suspects using Facebook Marketplace.   Two suspects approached the victim. One suspect grabbed the victim and the other suspect brandished a knife.  The suspects demanded the victim’s property.  The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene.  One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers.  This case remains under investigation.

 

Fifth District:

 

  • On Sunday, October 13, 2019, 25 year-old Jayvon Williams, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, October 12, 2019, in the 2200 block of 25th Place, Northeast. CCN: 19-182-223.
    • At approximately 1:25 am, suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

 

Seventh District:

 

  • On Friday, October 18, 2019, 26 year-old Cecil Smith, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, October 6, 2019, in the 2300 block of Green Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-178-743
    • At approximately 7:26 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects assaulted the victim with a handgun and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
