Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

First District:

  • On Thursday, September 26, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Thursday, September 26, 2019, in the 1700 block of East Capitol Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-171-767.
    • At approximately 2:07 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
  • On Monday, September 30, 2019, 29 year-old Jamal Brown, of Southwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, September 30, 2019, in the 1300 block of Half Street, Southwest. Additionally on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, 19 year-old Tavon Lucas, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for this same offense. CCN: 19-174-431.
    • At approximately 3:30 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished a weapon and assaulted the victim. The suspects then took the victim’s property. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.
  • On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, a 16 year-old juvenile female, of Northeast, DC, 19 year-old Destiny Williams, a 17 year-old juvenile female, and a 15 year-old juvenile female, all of Capitol Heights, MD, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in the 800 block of Virginia Avenue, Southwest. CCN: 19-175-924.
    • At approximately 6:35 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and demanded the victim’s property. Several suspects were apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.

 

Third District:

  • On Friday, September 27, 2019, 22 year-old Hakeem Sampson, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Carjacking) offense that occurred on Friday, September 27, 2019 in the 1300 block of North Capitol Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-172-753.
    • At approximately 9:18 pm, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects removed the victim from his scooter and then took property from the victim. One of the suspects fled with the victim’s scooter and the other two suspects fled the scene on foot with the victim’s property. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
  • On Monday, September 30, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Greenbelt, MD, and a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC were arrested for Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Monday, September 30, 2019, in the 700 block of T Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-174-379.
    • At approximately 2:55 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects snatched the victim’s property. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.
  • On Friday, October 4, 2019, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, and a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC were arrested for a Robbery (Pickpocket) offense that occurred on Friday, October 4, 2019, in the 1900 block of 14th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-176-885.
    • At approximately 3:39 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects took the victim’s property. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.
  • On Thursday, October 3, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Thursday, October 3, 2019, in the 3000 block of 13th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-176-764.
    • At approximately 9:08 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
  • On Thursday, October 3, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for two Robbery (Force and Violence) offenses.
    • On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at approximately 7:27 pm, the suspects approached the victim in the 3000 block of 14th Street, Northwest. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 19-175-270.
    • On Wednesday, October 3, 2019, at approximately 8:42 am, the suspects approached the victim in the 1300 block of Fairmont Street, Northwest. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 19-176-302

 

Fourth District:

  • On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, 49 year-old Willie Walker Jr., of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in the unit block of Webster Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-175-708.
    • At approximately 11:50 am, the suspect approached the victims at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victims and took the victims’ property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

Fifth District:

  • On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Monday, September 23, 2019, in the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast. CCN: 19-169-763.
    • At approximately 11:37 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects took the victim’s property. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
  • On Thursday, October 3, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Thursday, October 3, 2019, in the 800 block of 26th Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-176-314.
    • At approximately 9:56 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
  • On Thursday, October 3, 2019, 22 year-old Nevonia Evans, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Thursday, October 3, 2019, in the 2300 block of Washington Place, Northeast. CCN: 19-176-823.
    • At approximately 8:25 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

Seventh District:

  • On Saturday, September 28, 2019, 20 year-old Rasheed James, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, in the 1100 block of Bellevue Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-170-166.
    • At approximately 1:48 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
  • On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Southwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, in the 4000 block of South Capitol Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-161-656.
    • At approximately 11:42 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
