Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
First District:
On Saturday, July 27, 2019, three 13 year-old juvenile males, a 14 year-old juvenile male, all of Northeast, DC, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, and a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Suitland, MD, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun/Knife) offense that occurred on Saturday, July 27, 2019, in the 900 block of Maryland Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 19-132-125
At approximately 9:48 pm, two victims were approached by a group of suspects at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and another suspect brandished a knife. The suspects demanded property from the victims. The victim’s complied and the suspects fled the scene. Six of the suspects were apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
On Friday, July 26, 2019, 19 year-old Rishon Deon Ray Webb, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Friday, July 26, 2019, in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 19-131-438
At approximately 11:09 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect took the victim’s property and fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Friday, July 26, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, and a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, were arrested for an Attempt to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Friday, July 26, 2019, in the 600 block of North Carolina Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 19-131-105
At approximately 2:15 pm, the suspects approached two victims at the listed location. The suspects attempted to take property from the victims. The suspects were unsuccessful. The suspects then fled the scene. The suspect were apprehended by responding officers.
Second District:
On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, 48 year-old Lance Liles, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Sunday, July 28, 2019, in the 400 block of 11th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-132-781
At approximately 11:10 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect attempted to take property. The suspect was unsuccessful. The suspect then fled the scene.
On Sunday, July 28, 2019, 49 year-old Davis George Lucas, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, July 28, 2019, in the 900 block of 23rd Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-132-492
At approximately 2:41 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took property. The suspect then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Friday, August 2, 2019, 28 year-old Harlan Gerald Hopkins, Jr., of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Friday, August 2, 2019, in the 1100 block of 19th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-135-529
At approximately 12:15 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property and fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
Fourth District:
On Wednesday, July 24, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 24 year-old Qai Barkley, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, February 16, 2019, in the 7400 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-029-519
At approximately 4:30 pm, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspects took property from the victim and then fled the scene. All of the suspects in this case have been arrested.
On Saturday, July 27, 2019, a 16 year-old Juvenile Male, of Silver Spring, MD, and on Thursday, August 1, 2019, a 17 year-old Juvenile Male, of Northwest, DC, were arrested, pursuant to DC Superior Court custody orders, for a Robbery (Fear) offense that occurred on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in the 200 block of Van Buren Street, Northwest. At approximately 11:49 pm, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and gave the suspects his property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
Fifth District:
On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 20 year-old Keith Baham, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun)/ Theft First Degree (Stolen Auto) offense that occurred on Monday, February 25, 2019, in the 4000 block of Hillside Road, Southeast. At approximately 7:20 pm, four suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property and vehicle. The victim complied. The suspects took property then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. This case remains under investigation.
On Friday, July 26, 2019, 51-year-old Stephen Herring, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Friday, July 26, 2019, in the 2000 block of Fenwick Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-130-955
At approximately 10:32 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched U.S. currency from the victim and fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
Sixth District:
On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, 25 year-old Jarrell Knight, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, in the 4400 block of E Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-134-219
At approximately 3:09 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 19 year-old Ahmed Carmon, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, in the 5100 block of Lee Street, Northeast. CCN:19-128-752
At approximately 1:22 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
On Thursday, August 1, 2019, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, in the 5900 block of East Capitol Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-134-643
At approximately 5:27 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim, brandished a handgun, and took property from the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
