Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

First District:

 

  • On Sunday, July 21, 2019, 20 year-old Gerald Phillips, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Sunday, July 21, 2019, in the 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Northwest.  CCN: 19-127-563
    • At approximately 6:09 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location.  The suspect snatch the victim’s property and then fled the scene.  The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

  • On Thursday, July 25, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for 4 Robbery (Force and Violence) offenses that occurred in the First and Sixth Districts.
    • On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at approximately 2:28 pm, three suspects approached the victim in the Unit block of 18th Street, Southeast.  The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property.  The suspects then fled the scene.  This case remains under investigation.  First District CCN: 19-111-492
    • On Monday, July 15, 2019, at approximately 5:34 pm, two suspects approached the victim in the 300 block of 17th Street, Southeast.  The suspects assaulted the victim and then took the victim’s property.  The suspects then fled the scene.  This case remains under investigation.  First District CCN: 19-124-019
    • On Monday, July 15, 2019, at approximately 5:47 pm, four suspects approached the victim in the in the 1800 block of Massachusetts Avenue, Southeast.  The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property.  The suspects then fled the scene.  This case remains under investigation.  First District CCN: 19-124-040
    • On Monday, July 15, 2019, at approximately 6:30 pm, three suspects approached the victim in the 4500 block of Bowen Road, Southeast.  The suspects assaulted the victim and then took the victim’s property.  The suspects then fled the scene.  This case remains under investigation.  Sixth District CCN: 19-124-053

 

 

Third District:

 

  • On Sunday, July 21, 2019, 22 year-old Kevon Maynor, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Sunday, July 21, 2019, in the 100 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest.  CCN: 19-127-912
    • At approximately 6:44 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location.  The suspect snatched the victim’s property and then fled the scene.  The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

  • On Monday, July 22, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male and a 13 year-old juvenile male, both of Northwest, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Monday, July 8, 2019, in the 2300 block of 15th Street, Northwest.  CCN: 19-119-635
    • At approximately 10:00 pm, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location.  The suspects snatched the victim’s property and then fled the scene.  This case remains under investigation.

 

Fourth District:

 

  • On Tuesday, July 23, 2019, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Hyattsville, MD., and a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Monday, July 22, 2019, in the 5200 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-128-708
    • At approximately 11:23 pm, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location.  One of the suspects assaulted the victim and the other suspects took the victim’s property.  Two of the suspects were apprehended by responding officers.  This case remains under investigation.

 

  • On Wednesday, July 24, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 24 year-old Darcel Cole, of Silver Spring, MD., was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, February 16, 2019, in the 7400 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-029-519
    • At approximately 4:30 pm, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location.  One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property.  The suspects took property from the victim and then fled the scene.  This case remains under investigation.

 

Fifth District

 

  • On Thursday, July 25, 2019, 21 year-old Qunton Ayers, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Thursday, July 25, 2019, in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast.  CCN: 19-130-681
    • At approximately 9:13 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property and then fled the scene.  The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

  • On Saturday, July 20, 2019, 26 year-old Michael Dennis, Jr, of Hyattsville, MD was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Saturday, July 20, 2019, in the 2600 block of Benning Road, Northeast. CCN: 19-127-068
    • At approximately 10:37 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took his property. The suspect then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

  • On Thursday, July 18, 2019, 40 year-old Everett Lamont Faison, of Southwest, DC was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Rob offense that occurred on Thursday, July 18, 2019, in the 1000 block of Brentwood Road, Northeast. CCN: 19-126-054
    • At approximately 7:10 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and attempted to take property. The suspect was unsuccessful. The suspect then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

Seventh District:

 

  • On Thursday, July 25, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 18 year-old Deandre Onley, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery Gun offense that occurred on Friday, July 19, 2019, in the 4600 block of South Capitol Street, Southwest. CCN: 19-126-262.
    • At approximately 1:40 am, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects held a handgun to the victim’s back and demanded property. The suspects took property from the victim and then fled the scene in a vehicle. This case remains under investigation.
