Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
First District:
- On Monday, July 1, 2019, a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Monday, July 1, 2019, in the 800 block of Maine Avenue, Southwest. CCN: 19-114-410.
- At approximately 1:19 am, five suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. One suspect was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
Third District
- On Saturday, June 29, 2019, 18 year-old Jujuan Datcher and 20-year-old Gary Datcher, both of Northwest, DC, and a 13-year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Saturday, June 29, 2019, in the 900 block of U Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-113-292.
- At approximately 2:26 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.
- On Sunday, June 30, 2019, 24 year-old Darren West, Jr., of no fixed address, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, June 30, 2019, in the 2000 block of 14th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-114-014
- At approximately 8:05 am, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. The suspect attempted to open the cash register and was confronted by an employee. The suspect then assaulted the employee and took property from the employee. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
Fifth District:
- On Wednesday, July 3, 2019, 23 year-old Charlton Lee, of no fixed address, 18 year-old Karim Harshaw, of Forestville, MD, and a 16 year-old juvenile female, of Northwest, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in the 100 block of K Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-115-946.
- At approximately 9:07 am, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.
Sixth District:
- On Tuesday, July 2, 2019, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, June 30, 2019, in the 4300 block of Hunt Place, Northeast. CCN: 19-114-318.
- At approximately 9:40 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.
