Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

Second District:

On Monday, June 3, 2019, 42 year-old Winsloe Duhaney, of Silver Spring, MD, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, June 2, 2019, in the 1200 block of 18th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-095-442.

At approximately 1:52 pm, the suspect and the victim were engaged in a verbal altercation at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.

Fifth District:

On Tuesday, June 4, 2019, 40 year-old Darrell Melchor, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Attempt to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, in the 1800 block of Benning Road, Northeast. CCN: 19-097-244.

At approximately 9:40 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect threatened the victim and demanded the victim’s property. The victim refused and the suspect fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

Sixth District:

On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, 18 year-old Nevada Barnwell, of no fixed address, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, June 2, 2019, in the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 19-095-843

At approximately 8:18 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect sprayed the victim with pepper spray then took the victim’s property. The suspect fled the scene.
