Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses
(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
Second District:
- On Thursday, May 23, 2019, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Oxon Hill, MD, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Thursday, May 23, 2019, in the 1000 block of 16th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-088-999
- At approximately 5:27 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched property from the victim and fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
- On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, 26 year-old Dexter Brown, of Dumfries, VA, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, in the 3300 block of Cady’s Alley, Northwest. CCN: 19-092-933
- At approximately 3:18 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched property from the victim and fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
Third District:
- On Thursday, May 23, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Attempt to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Thursday, May 23, 2019, in the 1300 block of Irving Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-088-982
- At approximately 4:35 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect grabbed the victim and demanded their property. The suspect was unsuccessful and fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
- On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, in the 1000 block of P Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-092-602
- At approximately 2:52 am, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a knife and took property from the victim. The suspects then fled the scene. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
Fifth District:
- On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, 61 year-old Michael Wilson, of Hyattsville, MD, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, in the 300 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 19-092-964
- At approximately 4:18 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. One suspect was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
Sixth District:
- On Thursday, May 30, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, and a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC were arrested for an Robbery (Fear) offense that occurred on Thursday, May 30, 2019, in the 4900 block of Brooks Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-093-444
- At approximately 8:47 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects took property from the victim and fled the scene. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.
