Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

 

Second District:

 

  • On Monday, May 13, 2019, a 14 year-old Juvenile Male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Monday, May 13, 2019, in the 900 block of F Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-082-083
    • At approximately 11:14 am, the suspect assaulted the victim at the listed location and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

  • On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, 29 year-old Jimmie Burts, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, in the 1300 block of G Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-083-700
    • At approximately 9:00 pm, the suspect snatched the victim’s property at the listed location. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

Fifth District:

 

  • On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, 25 year-old Romaine Blunt Jr., of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Monday, December 31, 2018, in the 2300 block of Washington Place, Northeast. CCN: 18-221-640
    • At approximately 9:19 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatch the victim’s property and fled the scene.

 

  • On Monday, May 13, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 42 year-old Dennis Donta Christie, of No Fixed Address and 30 year old Kaylan Bracy, of Northeast, DC, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, May 6, 2019, in the 2800 block of 18th Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-077-723
    • At approximately 5:20 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished a handgun, assaulted the victim, and demanded U.S. currency from the victim. The victim complied by giving the suspect his money and then fled the scene. The suspects also fled the scene.

 

  • On Thursday, May 16, 2019, 24 year-old Nigee Britton, of Southwest, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, May 10, 2019, in the 1000 block of Brentwood Road, Northeast. CCN: 19-080-438
    • At approximately 2:25 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.

Sixth District:

 

  • On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, a 16-year-old Juvenile Female, of Southeast, DC; a 17-year old Juvenile Male, of Southeast, DC; and 18-year-old Alonte Hines, of Northeast, DC, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, in the 5000 block of D Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-083-528
    • At approximately 4:41 pm, five suspects approached the victim at the listed location. Two of the suspects brandished handguns. The suspects took the victim’s property and vehicle and fled the scene. Three of the suspects were apprehended a short time later by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.

 

  • On Sunday, May 12, 2019, 24-year-old Carlos Samuels, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, February 14, 2019, in the 300 block of Ridge Road, Southeast. CCN: 19-026-907
    • At approximately 9:00 pm, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted and took the victim’s property. One of the suspects brandished a handgun. The three suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. This case remains under investigation.

 

Seventh District:

 

  • On Sunday, May 12, 2019, a 16 year-old Juvenile Male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, May 12, 2019, in the 2600 block of Wade Road, Southeast. CCN: 19-081-422
    • At approximately 12:21 am, two suspects approached the victims at the listed location. One suspect brandished a handgun and the suspects took the victim’s property and fled the scene. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
