Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

 

Third District:

· On Friday, April 19, 2019, a 15-year-old Juvenile Male, of Northwest, DC, 18-year-old Brandon Lewis, of Northwest, DC, a 15-year-old Juvenile Male, of Southeast, DC, and a 16-year-old Juvenile Male, of Northeast, DC were arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Friday, April 19, 2019, in the 700 block of M Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-066-264

o At approximately 1:01 am, four suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects snatched property from the victim and fled the scene. The suspects were apprehended by responding officers.

 

Fourth District:

· On Sunday, April 14, 2019, 37-year-old Walter Geovanni Mancia, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Friday, March 15, 2019, in the 5900 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-043-851

o At approximately 11:48 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched U.S. currency from the victim and fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

Fifth District:

  • On Thursday, April 18, 2019, a 15-year-old Juvenile Male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, in the 600 block of Edgewood Street, Northeast. CCN: 19-029-792
    • At approximately 10:24 am, four suspects assaulted the victim and took property then fled the scene. On Thursday, March 7, 2019, an 18 year-old Adult Male, of Northeast, DC was arrested for this offense. This case remains under investigation.

 

  • On Friday, April 19, 2019, 24-year-old Corey Bridges, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Assault With Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Thursday, April 18, 2019, in the 1700 block of Lincoln Road, Northeast. CCN: 19-065-541.
    • At approximately 1:25 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.
