Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
Second District:
- On Monday, January 28, 2019, a 16-year-old juvenile male, Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, in the 1700 block of N Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-012-754
- At approximately 1:46 am, two suspects approached the victim’s vehicle at the listed location. The suspects then brandished handguns, demanded the victim’s property, and ordered him out of the vehicle. The victim complied then the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. This case remains under investigation.
Third District:
- On Tuesday, January 29, 3019, 54-year-old Darnell Sadler, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, in the 2700 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 19-016-475
- At approximately 12:07 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded property. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
Fourth District:
- On Tuesday, January 29, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, January 28, 2019, in the 500 Block of Riggs Road, Northeast. CCN: 19-016-454
- At approximately 5:00 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
Seventh District:
- On Thursday, January 31, 2019, 55-year-old James Morrison, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, in the 400 block of Condon Terrace, Southeast. CCN: 19-012-540
- At approximately 6:57 pm, the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded US currency from the victim at the listed location. The suspect then assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect then fled the scene.
