Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
Third District:
- On Thursday, January 3, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 31-year-old Andre Harvey, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, in the 2800 block of 14th Street, Northwest. CCN: 18-140-396
- At approximately 10:10 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished handguns and demanded the victim’s property. The suspects took the property and fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
- On Saturday, January 5, 2019, a 17-year-old Juvenile Male, of Southeast, DC, and a 16-year-old Juvenile Male, of Capital Heights, MD, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Saturday, January 5, 2019, in the 1900 block of 14th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-002-745
- At approximately 2:48 am, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. Two suspects were apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
Sixth District:
- On Thursday, January 10, 2019, a 14-year-old Juvenile Male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, in the 700 block of Kenilworth Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 19-005-836
- At approximately 4:30 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects then physically assaulted the victim and took US currency from her pocket. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
- On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, 19-year-old Rashod Dunbar, of Northeast, DC and 17-year-old Navaras Lorenzo Johnson, of Northwest, DC, who has been charged as an adult, were arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, in the 4700 block of Central Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 19-005-282
- At approximately 2:36 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and proceeded to go in the victim’s pockets. The suspects then fled the scene with the victim’s cell phone.
