Arrests Made in Multiple Robbery Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.

 

First District:

 

  • On Tuesday, January 1, 2019, a 13-year-old Juvenile Male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for Attempted Armed Robbery (Knife) and Robbery (Snatch) offenses that occurred in the 800 block of Constitution Avenue, Northeast.
    • On Monday, December 31, 2018, at approximately 8:45 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and attempted to steal property from the victim. The suspect was unsuccessful and then fled the scene. CCN: 18-221-958
    • On Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at approximately 5:26 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect snatched the victim’s property then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. CCN: 19-000-555

 

  • On Thursday, January 3, 2018, a 15-year old Juvenile Male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Wednesday, January 2, 2018, in the 800 block of West Virginia Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 19-001-301
    • At approximately 9:00 pm, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects forcibly took the victim’s property and then fled the scene. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.

 

Second District:

  • On Wednesday, January 2, 2019, 37-year-old Jeremiah Nathan Stone, of No Fixed Address, was arrested for an Attempt to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, in the 400 block of 18th Street, Northwest. CCN: 19-001-335
    • At approximately 10:10 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect attempted to take the victim’s property. The suspect was unsuccessful and fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

  • On Friday, December 28, 2018, 27-year-old Abdul Qawi Kohistany, of Woodbridge, VA, was arrested for a Robbery (Snatch) offense that occurred on Friday, December 28, 2018, in the 1000 block of Vermont Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 18-219-881
    • At approximately 1:55 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect took the victim’s property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

Sixth District:

 

  • On Tuesday, January 1, 2019, 55-year-old Steven Terrell Cole, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for an Attempted Armed Robbery (Knife) offense that occurred on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, in the 4500 block of Bowen Road, Southeast. CCN: 19-000-518
    • At approximately 4:55 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and attempted to take the victim’s property. The suspect was unsuccessful and fled the scene. The suspect was later apprehended by responding officers.

 

  • On Friday, January 4, 2018, 23-year old Brian Trevon Smith, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Sunday, December 16, 2018, in the 2900 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 18-213-252
    • At approximately 3:34 pm, two suspects approached a store employee at the listed location. One of the suspects forcibly removed currency from the cash register. Both suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.

 

Seventh District:

 

  • On Thursday, January 3, 2018, 32-year old Michael David Hollins, of Southeast, DC, and 29-year old Robert Wood, of Southeast, DC, were arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Thursday, January 3, 2018, in the 2100 block of Mississippi Avenue, Southeast. CCN: 19-001-403
    • At approximately 1:40 am, four suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects forcibly removed property from the victim’s pockets and fled the scene. Two suspects were apprehended by responding officers. This case remains under investigation.
