Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District and the Carjacking Task Force announce arrests have been made in reference to Carjacking and Robbery offenses that occurred in the First District.
- Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at approximately 3:04 pm, the suspects approached the victim in the 1400 block of A Street, Southeast. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. Responding officers located the vehicle and apprehended the suspects. A handgun was recovered. CCN: 21-112-901
On Wednesday, August 11, 2021, 21 year-old Jabarr Emerson, Jr., of Northwest, DC, 18 year-old Davon Williams, of Northwest, DC, and a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, were arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun). Additionally, Emerson and the 14 year-old juvenile male were charged with the following offenses:
- Armed Robbery (Gun)/Theft One (Stolen Auto): On Friday, July 30, 2021, at approximately 10:08 pm, the suspects approached the victim in the 400 block of 59th Street, Northeast. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. CCN: 21-106-340
- Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Friday, July 30, 2021, at approximately 10:33 pm, the suspect approached the victim, who was seated in their vehicle, in the 900 block of 46th Street, Northeast. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim to exit the vehicle. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. CCN: 21-106-345
Additionally, the 14 year-old juvenile male was charged with the below offenses:
- Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at approximately 2:37 am, the suspects approached the victim, who was seated in their vehicle, in the 800 block of 3rd Street, Northeast. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. CCN: 21-104-077
- Armed Carjacking (Gun): On Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at approximately 1:38 am, the suspects approached the victims, who were seated in their vehicle, in the 4100 block of Gault Place, Northeast. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victims to exit the vehicle. The victims complied and the suspects fled the scene in the vehicle. CCN: 21-104-640
- Unarmed Carjacking: On Sunday, August 8, 2021, at approximately 7:15 pm, the suspect approached the victim in the 300 block of I Street, Northeast. The suspect forcibly took the victim’s vehicle then fled the scene. CCN: 21-111-354
