Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announced arrests have been made in reference to an Armed Robbery offense that occurred on Thursday, February 6, 2020, in the 100 block of 15th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 7:20 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle.
On Wednesday, March 11, 2020, pursuant to DC Superior Court arrest warrants, 18 year-old Makel Barnes and 21 year-old Aaron Jones, both of Northeast, DC, were arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking in reference to this offense.
Previously on Saturday, February 8, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, a 23 year-old Adult Male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking in reference to this offense.
