Arrests Made in an Armed Kidnapping (Gun) Offense: 500 Block of H Street, Northeast

(Washington, DC)  - Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Special Investigations Branch announced two arrests have been made reference to an Armed Kidnapping (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, in the 500 block of H Street, Northeast.  

 

At approximately 10:50 pm, the suspects entered an establishment at the listed location.  Once inside, the suspects brandished a handgun and bound the employees.  The suspects took property and then fled the scene.

 

On Friday, October 4, 2019, pursuant to DC Superior Court arrest warrants, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) arrested 40-year-old Gregory Sharps and 41-year-old Dexter Brown, both of Severn, MD., and charged them with Armed Kidnapping.

 

This case remains under investigation.
