Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division, Special Investigations Branch announce arrests have been made in reference to an Armed Kidnapping (Gun) offense that occurred on January 24, 2021, in the 3500 Block of A Street, Southeast.
At approximately 7:04 pm, the suspects held the victim, inside a residence at the listed location, against his will and assaulted him. MPD officers were able to locate the victim and apprehend the suspects. A firearm was recovered at the scene
On Monday January 25, 2021, 20 year-old Sincere Howard of Northeast, DC was arrested and charged with Armed Kidnapping, Carrying a Pistol Without a License, Unregistered Firearm/Ammunition, Possession of Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device, and Criminal Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult. Additionally 20 year-old Garrett Hawkins, of Southeast, DC was arrested and charged with Kidnapping and Criminal Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult.
