Arrests Made in an Armed Carjacking (Gun) Offense: 400 Block of 3rd Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced two arrests have been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, August 1, 2019, in the 400 block of 3rd Street, Southeast.

 

At approximately 5:10 pm, the victim was inside of a vehicle at the listed location. The victim was approached by two suspects. The suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

 

On Thursday, August 1, 2019, a 17 year-old male, of Southeast, DC, and a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Southwest, DC, were arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).

 

This case remains under investigation.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
