Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District announced an arrest has been made in two Robbery Offenses that occurred in the Third District.
- Robbery (Snatch): On Sunday, March 14, 2021, at approximately 3:21 am, in the 1300 block of 9th Street, Northeast, the suspect approached the victim and snatched the victim’s property then fled the scene. CCN: 21-032-562
- Armed Robbery: On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at approximately 3:55 am, in the 1200 block of M Street, Northwest, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The first suspect brandished a bat and the second suspect brandished a knife and assaulted the victim. The suspects took the victim’s property then fled the scene. On Thursday, March 18, 2021, 51 year-old Nathan Mathis, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Robbery (Snatch) and Armed Robbery (Bat).
