Arrest Made in Robbery Offenses in the Third District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District announced an arrest has been made in two Robbery Offenses that occurred in the Third District.

 

  • Robbery (Snatch): On Sunday, March 14, 2021, at approximately 3:21 am, in the 1300 block of 9th Street, Northeast, the suspect approached the victim and snatched the victim’s property then fled the scene. CCN: 21-032-562

 

  • Armed Robbery: On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at approximately 3:55 am, in the 1200 block of M Street, Northwest, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The first suspect brandished a bat and the second suspect brandished a knife and assaulted the victim. The suspects took the victim’s property then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 21-033-992

 

On Thursday, March 18, 2021, 51 year-old Nathan Mathis, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Robbery (Snatch) and Armed Robbery (Bat).

Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a serious crime committed in the District of Columbia.
