Arrest Made in Robbery Offenses in the Seventh District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District announced an arrest has been made in reference to Robbery offenses that occurred in the Seventh District.

 

  • Armed Robbery (Knife): 100 block of Irvington Street, Southwest: On Saturday, October 26, 2019, at approximately 3:20 pm, the victim and suspect agreed to meet at the listed location to conduct a transaction using the Offer Up online application. When the victim arrived, two suspects approached the victim. One of the suspects brandished a knife and took property from the victim. The suspects then fled the scene. On Thursday, December 5, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Fort Washington, MD, was arrested in reference to this offense. CCN: 19-191-918
  • Armed Robbery (Knife): 100 block of Irvington Street, Southwest: On Friday, November 1, 2019, at approximately 2:05 pm, the victim and suspect agreed to meet at the listed location to conduct a transaction using the 5mile online application. When the victim arrived, three suspects approached the victim. One of the suspects brandished a knife and took property from the victim. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 19-195-841
  • Armed Robbery (Gun): 100 block of Irvington Street, Southwest: On Friday, November 8, 2019, at approximately 5:10 pm, the victims and suspects agreed to meet at the listed location to conduct a transaction using the Offer Up online application. When the victims arrived, three suspects approached them. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and took property from the victims. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 19-200-507
  • Armed Robbery (Gun): 100 block of Irvington Street, Southwest: On Saturday, December 14, 2019, at approximately 2:00 pm, the victim and suspect agreed to meet at the listed location to conduct a transaction using the LetGo online application. When the victim arrived, two suspects approached the victim. One of the suspects brandished a knife and took property from the victim. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 19-222-670
  • Armed Robbery (Knife)/Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife): 1300 block of Congress Street, Southeast: On Saturday, December 21, 2019, at approximately 8:15 pm, the victim and suspect agreed to meet at the listed location to conduct a transaction using the LetGo online application. When the victim arrived, two suspects approached the victim. One of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded property from the victim. The suspect then stabbed the victim and took their property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 19-227-158
  • Robbery (Fear): 1300 block of Congress Street, Southeast: On Thursday, December 26, 2019, at approximately 1:07 pm, the victim and suspect agreed to meet at the listed location to conduct a transaction using the 5Mile online application. When the victim arrived, the suspect approached the victim. The suspect reached his hand into his waistband and demanded property from the victim. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene.   • Armed Carjacking (Knife): 100 block of Irvington Street, Southwest: On Sunday, January 12, 2020, at approximately 3:20 am, the suspects approached the victim while he was sitting in his vehicle at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded property. The victim complied. The suspect took the victim’s property then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. This case remains under investigation. CCN: 20-006-833

 

On Wednesday, February 19, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Southwest, DC, was arrested and charged with the above offenses.
