Arrest Made in a Residential Burglary

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District announce a man has been arrested and additional suspects are sought in a burglary of an occupied residence.

 

On Sunday, November 19, 2023, at approximately 9:40 pm, in the 1600 block of Savannah Street, Southeast the suspects forced their way into an occupied residence. Once inside the suspects brandished handguns and took property from the victims. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers.

 

18-year-old Davon Parker of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Burglary One, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and Carrying a Pistol Without a License.

 

This case remains under investigation. Anyone who has any information about this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
