Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced an arrest has been made in reference to a Kidnapping and an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, November 10, 2019, in the 4700 block of First Street, Southwest.
At approximately 7:10 am, the suspect entered the victim’s vehicle at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and ordered the victim to the passenger seat. The suspect then drove the victim to a bank where the victim was made to withdraw US currency. The victim then exited the vehicle and the suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
On Monday, December 2, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 17 year-old Ethan Cunningham, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged as an adult with Kidnapping and Armed Robbery (Gun).
