Arrest Made in a Homicide: Unit Block of Danbury Street, Southwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in a fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday, November 28, 2019, in the Unit block of Danbury Street, Southwest.

 

At approximately 11:42 am, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital.  After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead. 

 

The decedent has been identified as 28 year-old Michael Andre Francis, of Upper Marlboro, MD.

 

On Tuesday, January 7, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 26 year-old Michael Fahnbulleh, of Gaithersburg, MD, was arrested by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.
