Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in a fatal shooting that occurred in the 600 block of Nicholson Street, Northeast, on Thursday, December 8, 2016.
At approximately 5:06 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, members located an adult male, inside a residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life. The decedent remained on the scene until he was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Investigation at the scene revealed that the shooting occurred inside of a residence.
The decedent has been identified as 26-year-old Victor Bolden of Northeast, DC.
On Thursday, November 21, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Major Violator Section’s Fugitive Unit transported 28 year-old Jahmar Thaxter, of Northeast, DC, to the Homicide Branch where he was charged with First Degree Murder while Armed – Felony Murder.
