Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announce an arrest has been made in reference to a homicide that occurred on Sunday, February 24, 2019, in the 600 block of 46th Place, Southeast.
At approximately 10:05 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and determined the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 33-year-old Mark Mosley, of Northwest, DC.
On Thursday, April 4, 2019, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) arrested 23 year-old Roscoe Jones, of Temple Hills, MD. He has been charged with First Degree Murder While Armed.
