Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in a fatal shooting that occurred on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, in the 4400 block of G Street, Southeast.
At approximately 1:40 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 22-year-old Devante Moody, of Southeast, DC.
On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, 18-year-old Antwuan Roach, of Southwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
