(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announce an arrest has been made in a homicide that occurred on Monday, February 6, 2023, in the 4200 block of 7th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 11:33 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, the members located an adult male shooting victim, inside of an apartment. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
The decedent has been identified as 40-year-old Anthony Thomas, Sr., of Southeast, DC.
On Monday, February 6, 2023, 35-year-old Latasha Gray, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder While Armed. The detectives’ investigation revealed this offense was domestic in nature.
