Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announce an arrest has been made in reference to a homicide that occurred on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, in the 2700 block of Langston Place, Southeast.
At approximately 10:26 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 39 year-old Henry Hackett, of Suitland, MD.
On Wednesday, June 3, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 46 year-old Raymond Davis, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
