Arrest Made in a First Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor Offense in the District of Columbia

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Youth and Family Services Division, Physical and Sexual Abuse Branch have announced an arrest has been made in reference to a First Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor offense that occurred in the District of Columbia.

In January 2018, the suspect engaged in a sexual act with a minor victim, with whom he had a significant relationship.

On Tuesday, March 17, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 27 year-old Andrew Smith, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with First Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor.
