Arrest Made in a Burglary One and a Theft One Offense in the First District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to a Burglary One and a Theft One offense that occurred in the First District.

• Burglary One: On Monday, July 8, 2019, at approximately 2:39 am, in the 200 block of 7th Street, Northeast, the suspect unlawfully entered an occupied residence. The suspect took property and fled the scene. CCN: 19-119-174
• Theft One: On Monday, July 8, 2019, at approximately 2:45 am, in the 200 block of 7th Street, Northeast, the suspect stole the victim’s vehicle from the listed location and fled the scene. CCN: 19-119-144

On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, 20 year-old of Tyrone Jacobs, of Southwest, DC, was arrested and charged with one count of Burglary One and one count of Theft One (Stolen Auto).
