Arrest Made in Burglary Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to multiple Burglary offenses that occurred at the following locations:

 

Sixth District:

 

  • Burglary II: On Monday, December 3, 2018, in the 1800 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast, at approximately 11:35 am, the suspect unlawfully entered an establishment at the listed location. The suspect stole property and fled the scene. CCN: 18-205-161

 

  • Burglary II: On Monday, April 8th, 2019, in the 2200 block of Prout Street, Southeast, at approximately 10:56 am, the suspect unlawfully entered a residence at the listed location. The suspect stole property and fled the scene. CCN: 19-059-156

 

  • Theft II: On Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in the 3600 block of Texas Avenue, Southeast, at approximately 9:15 am, the suspect stole property from a residence under construction. The suspect then fled the scene. CCN: 19-064-950

 

  • Burglary II: On Wednesday, May 12, 2019, in the 1800 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast, at approximately 1:00 pm, the suspect unlawfully entered a residence at the listed location. The suspect stole property and fled the scene. CCN: 19-081-649

 

On Wednesday, June 12, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 28 year-old Dajuan Blakney, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with three counts of Burglary II and one count of Theft II.
