Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announce an arrest has been made regarding an Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, March 9, 2020, in the 5000 block of Benning Road, Southeast.
At approximately 11:47 am, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location when they heard the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.
On Monday, March 9, 2020, 19 year-old Jarvis Burl, of Capitol Heights, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun).
