Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, July 14, 2019, in the 1100 block of K Street, Southeast.
At approximately 8:16 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and shot the suspect multiple times then fled the scene. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.
On Monday, July 22, 2019, 22 year-old Fitzgerald Hunt, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault With Intent to Kill while Armed (Gun).
