Arrest Made in an Assault with Intent to Kill (Vehicle) Offense: 2500 Block of Good Hope Road, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with Intent to Kill (Vehicle) offense that occurred on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, in the 2500 block of Good Hope Road, Southeast.

 

At approximately 4:30 am, members of the Seventh District responded to the report of a pedestrian struck at the listed location. Upon arrival, members located an adult male suffering from apparent trauma. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries. The detectives’ investigation revealed that the suspect used a vehicle to intentionally strike the victim. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.

 

On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, 31-year-old Donte Colbert, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Kill (Vehicle).
