Arrest Made in an Assault With Intent to Kill Offense: 300 Block of 1st Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault With Intent to Kill offense that occurred on Friday, October 11, 2019, in the 300 block of 1st Street, Southeast.

 

At approximately 12:37 pm, members of the Metro Transit Police Department, United States Capitol Police and the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District responded to the Capitol South Metro Station, at the listed location, for an assault victim inside the station. Upon arrival, members located an unconscious juvenile male suffering from a stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries. Members of the United States Capitol Police located the suspect several blocks from the Metro Station.

 

Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch assumed investigative responsibility. Investigation at the scene determined the stabbing took place inside of an orange line rail car.

 

On Friday, October 11, 2019, a 15 year-old juvenile female, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault With Intent to Kill.
