Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Thursday, March 28, 2019, in the unit block of I Street, Northwest.
At approximately 8:56 am, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal dispute at the listed location. During the dispute, the suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threating injuries. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
On Friday, March 29, 2019, 35 year-old Antoine Bruce, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
