Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Monday, December 23, 2019, in the 700 Block of Quebec Place, Northwest .
At approximately 9:04 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and attempted to stab the victim. The suspect was arrested by responding officers.
On Monday, December 23, 2019, 44 year-old Richard Beard, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
