Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 700 Block of H Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Saturday, April 6, 2019, in the 700 block of H Street, Northeast.

At approximately 10:38 pm, the suspect and the victim engaged in a verbal altercation at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

On Monday, April 8, 2019, 36 year-old Ahtshama Ahmed, of Annandale, VA, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
