Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Saturday, December 14, 2019, in the 3500 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest.
At approximately 11:03 pm, the victim and suspect were involved in a physical altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. A knife was recovered from the scene.
On Saturday, December 14, 2019, 29 year-old Kasheon Kenny Mitchell, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
