Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fourth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Saturday, April 25, 2020, in the 300 block of Delafield Place, Northwest.
At approximately 5:18 pm, the suspect and victim were engaged in an altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a knife and cut the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim suffered from non-life threatening injuries and refused medical treatment on scene.
On Friday May 1, 2020, 24 year-old Ilarona Elkerson, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
