Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Thursday, September 19, 2019, in the 1600 block of Trinidad Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 9:17 pm, the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation, inside of a residence, at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect stabbed the victim. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. The detectives’ investigation at the scene revealed this was a dispute between known parties.
On Thursday, September 19, 2019, 57 year-old Floyd Allen Jones, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
