Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Friday, December 6, 2019, in the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast.
At approximately 12:30 am, the victim and suspect were involved in a verbal dispute
at the listed location at the listed location. During the dispute, the suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
On Friday, December 6, 2019, 39 year-old Allen Johnson, of Southwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
