Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the 1400 block of Half Street, Southwest.
At approximately 1:15 am, the suspect and victim were involved in an altercation at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
On Monday, March 9, 2020, 39 year-old Buiam Yeshigeta, of Alexandria, VA., was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
