Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 1300 Block of U Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, in the 1300 block of U Street, Northwest.

At approximately 12:47 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, 31 year-old William Lonnie Gray, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
