Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fifth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Saturday, April 25, 2020, in the 1000 block of Brentwood Road, Northeast.
At approximately 2:01 pm, officers responded to the listed location for the report of a suspect threatening citizens with a knife. Responding officers were able to apprehend the suspect. A knife was recovered. The suspect sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
On Saturday, April 25, 2020, 32 year-old Spiro Stafilatos Jr., of Silver Spring, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
