Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 1000 Block of Brentwood Road, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, in the 1000 Block of Brentwood Road, Northeast.

 

At approximately 9:57 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to the listed location for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

 

On Friday, February 8, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 22-year-old James Edward Grier, of Laurel, MD was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
