Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fifth District announced that an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, in the 700 block of 21st Street, Northeast.
At approximately 5:50 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and shot at the victim. The suspects then fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
On Thursday, January 16, 2020, 25 year-old Robert Fenner, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
This case remains under investigation.
