Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Fourth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, April 24, 2020, in the 5700 Block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest.
At approximately 6:30 am, the victim were involved in a verbal dispute at the listed location. During the dispute, the suspect retrieved a handgun and threatened the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. No injuries were reported
On Thursday, May 7, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 23 year-old Joenathan Nelson, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
