Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 5400 Block of 5th Street, Northwest

 Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District announce an arrest made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, February 7, 2019, in the 5400 block of 5th Street, Northwest.

 

At approximately 3:44 pm, three suspects approached a group of subjects, at the listed location. One suspect brandished a handgun and shot at the subjects. The suspects then fled the scene.

 

On Friday, March 22, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 26-year-old Rodney Walls, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).

 

This case remains under investigation.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a shooting committed in the District of Columbia.
