Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, March 26, 2020, in the 5000 Block of C Street, Southeast.
At approximately 9:45 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Investigation at the scene revealed that the offense occurred inside of the residential building.
On Monday, March 31, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 21 year-old Devin Ricks, of Clinton, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
